Well, the trip is finally coming to a close. Today was essentially the last day of our mission trip, as we will be spending the next couple of days either sightseeing or traveling home. We started the day a little bit later than usual, giving ourselves some much needed rest. We had a quick cereal breakfast and then headed off to the missions meeting. Pastor Swanson, one of the pastors here at Faith Baptist, gave the message. After that, sometime between 11a.m. and noon we cleaned up, showered up, and ate up. After lunch, the group split up. Half of us, including myself Benjamin, went and helped Pastor Lowery and the NYSET guys with street evangelism. The other half of us, or basically all of  the slackers, stayed and did menial tasks at the whim of Mistopher Kristopher, except for Jan the Man, who set up a server for the church)! (the dude is amazing.) Actually, they worked super hard and got lots of painting/cleaning done. Next up on the menu was food, a delicious cheeseburger meal prepared by our very own Mama Sheryl. We wrapped up the meal and headed over to The Flushing Meadow Park for the war, but on the way over Joey, Essence, and I balled up at the park down the street. Once the war began, things really got interesting. We started off with Big-Ball Volleyball, and then went into Crack the Pack. For those of you who don’t know, this game is nuts! Basically, half of the people hang on for dear life, and the other half try to rip their limbs off. We did a couple of other games and finished up with a two liter soda chugging competition. There was an awesome message by Pastor Sawyer, another pastor of Faith Baptist, and several kids talked to the sponsors about salvation. VBS also went very well, or at least that’s what they told us. Officially, we had 45 kids at the war and I don’t know how many at VBS, but the turnout sure seemed larger than that. Anyway, we got back to church and had our final missions meeting of the day, with Pastor Dave giving the message. Well, I better get going cause I’m rambling and now we’re supposed to get going to beddy-bye. Peace out!
