There’s no question about it – children are important at Bay City Baptist. We believe our kids can play a major part in the future of our church and churches around the world.

Nursery
So parents can participate in church services without distraction
Screened volunteers serve you and your children (up to age 4) during all services so you can enjoy the worship and preaching aspects of our ministry. For safety reasons, you are asked to sign your child in and out.

Sunday School
To teach children about God through the Bible
Every Sunday morning, teachers share Bible-based lessons so our children and teens will understand what God wants them to know about Him. Age-specific classes are available for children two years old through 12th grade.

Christian Soldiers
To provide service and recreational activities for children
Children in grades 3-6 are eligible to attend these regularly-scheduled, fun, service-oriented activities. The screened volunteers who work with the children work in groups of at least two for adequate supervision and safety.

Junior Church
For age-appropriate teaching during the Sunday morning service
At about 11 o'clock during the Sunday morning service the song leader dismisses the children for two different junior church services. Four- and five-year-olds meet together, and grades 1-3 meet together for a service relevant to their age.

Awana Clubs
To lead children to Christ and help them memorize Scripture
Our AWANA clubs, for children three years old through sixth grade, meet every Wednesday night (September through May) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The exciting, jam-packed evening includes games, Bible memory and a message from the Bible. Children are encouraged to have fun and memorize verses – you won’t want your children to miss it.

Solid education in a warm, Christian atmosphere
Just as a delicate seedling must be nurtured in the safety of a warm greenhouse, so children must be prepared for the world in a safe, Christian atmosphere.
Bay City Baptist School is a well-rounded, traditional-classroom school providing a superior education in kindergarten through 12th grade. Bay City Youth Ministries: Showing You The Way
To lead teens to Christ and help them follow Him
Our youth program (gr. 7-12), guided by a pastor and volunteer staff, is designed to help teens know God and live for Him.
The catchphrase following our title, Showing You The Way, sums it up — we present Jesus Christ as “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), then try to point kids in the right “way” for the rest of their lives. Activities include Sunday school, Prime-Time Wednesday Nite, snow and summer camps, college tours, weekend activities, mission trips and much more. Click here for more info about the youth ministry!
