QUESTION #1 ANSWER: The correct answer is no. If that were the case, when we got to Heaven we could brag to each other about what we did to get there. The Bible teaches that our entrance into heaven is not based on our good works. Salvation comes by the grace of God (God giving to us something that we do not deserve) when we put our faith in Jesus Christ alone and no longer trust our own good works to bring us closer to God (Ephesians 2:8-9). QUESTION #2 ANSWER: The correct answer is no. None of these things convey grace so they cannot save you. The Bible teaches that baptism is an outward act of obedience that identifies you with Christ. And you should be baptized after you put your faith in Christ (Acts 8:12). Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is something that a person practices in memory of Christ (Luke 22:19), not to receive favor with God. Confirmation is not found anywhere in scripture, although it is important to know the teachings of the Bible. QUESTION #3 ANSWER: The only correct answer is Hell. Man only dies once. (With the exception of some medical miracles). After death, your soul is sent to either Heaven or Hell (Luke 16:23-24; Hebrews 9:27). The Bible never mentions nor implies the presence of purgatory. Our ability to go to Heaven is based solely on whether or not we have put our faith in Christ alone. QUESTION #4 ANSWER: When Jesus was teaching his disciples about heaven in John 14, he told them he was preparing Heaven for them. He said "I to prepare a place for you." Jesus spoke of Heaven as real place. It was the physical dwelling place of God the Father, and it is where Jesus awaits God’s perfect timing to return for his children. QUESTION #5 ANSWER: Both answers are correct depending on how you look at the question. Yes, if worshiping God and fellowshipping in the presence of God are your favorite things to do. (And they will be if you get to heaven.) But, the answer is no, if you think that Heaven is a place of eternal indulgence. God does not save people so that they can live for themselves. He saves people so they can live for him. QUESTION #6 ANSWER: The correct answer is yes. The Bible teaches this: When Jesus returns for those who have put their faith in him alone for their salvation, they will be raptured into heaven in their bodies. Their bodies will be changed into glorified (perfect) bodies. The Bible also teaches that saved persons who have been buried will be reunited with their bodies and that their bodies will be made new and glorified (I Thessalonians 4:15-17). QUESTION #7 ANSWER: No, God gives his children first-class treatment. John 14:2 says that we will have mansions in Heaven. More than that, the Bible also says in the same chapter that Jesus Himself is preparing that place for you, if you have trusted in Christ, not in your own works to get you there. QUESTION #8 ANSWER: The correct answer is forever. Revelation 22 contains a description of what heaven will be like. In that description it tells us that Christians will "reign for ever" in Heaven. QUESTION #9 ANSWER: Yes you can! If you would like to know for sure you are going to Heaven, click on this link to find out how. You can know for sure! (I John 5:13,20). QUESTION #10 ANSWER:
The
correct answer is no. Some people try to say that a loving God would never
send anyone to Hell, but that is simply not true. Every person has a
chance to either accept or reject God (Romans 1:18-21). So, God has shown
his love already by dying for you. Have you turned from your sins and
accepted Him? |
EPHESIANS 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. ACTS 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. LUKE 22:19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. LUKE 16:23-24 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. HEBREWS 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: JOHN 14:1-6 ... I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I THESSALONIANS 4:15-17 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. REVELATION 22:1-5 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. I JOHN 5:13,20 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (20) And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. ROMANS 1:18-21 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. REVELATION 20:11-15 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
