The year was 1967 and a small group of four families was excited...
They were excited because they were planting the seeds of a new church. That small determined group held their first meeting in a home at 231 North Chestnut in the heart of Green Bay, and Bay City Baptist was born.
Over the years God blessed us and showed Himself faithful. And we grew. After meeting in a few different locations God finally gave us a permanent home at 1840 Bond Street where we still meet today. We’ve completed a few building projects that have provided space for every kind of activity you can imagine.
God has not only been good to give us our great salvation, but also a wonderful combination of location, property, and building space in which to meet. We’re excited to use it for His glory. Click here to see campus pics.
Yes, we have grown but we’ve never been interested in being big just for the sake of being big. Sure, we’d like to grow but our goal will never be size. We want to love God and be faithful to Him (Matthew 22:37-38). We want to bring Him glory and make Him known in this world.
Where does the story go from here? Only God knows. And we’re willing to follow Him wherever that road leads.
Our prayer: God, thank you for your gift of atoning love, the forgiveness of sins, and a wonderful hope. You have made us whole. Please help us to love you more deeply in the days to come. Please help us to make you known in this world. May we be faithful to you to the end.
